Salee has returned home!

Last Mother's Day, we asked you to celebrate the true meaning of the holiday by sponsoring medical treatment for Salee , a young Iraqi girl who lost both of her legs in a U.S. missile strike. We were overwhelmed by your response.

Through your incredible generosity, Salee was able to travel to South Carolina where she received medical treatment and fitting for two prosthetic legs. While she was in the United States, not only did her legs heal but her beautiful smile and playful spirit returned as well.

Today, Salee is walking and has returned home to her family in Iraq. Shriner's Hospital has also committed to refitting her prosthetics as she grows allowing her to return every 18 months until she is 18 years old.

Thank you all for your tremendous support with this project!

If you would like to learn more about how to get involved with No More Victims, or to donate, please visit their website nomorevictims.org. Many more children, like Salee's sister Rusul, are currently awaiting treatment.
